DEREK GORES SELECTED AS COMMEMORATIVE POSTER ARTIST FOR THE 2019 ARTIGRAS FINE ARTS FESTIVAL

JUPITER, Fla. - The ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival is proud to announce that renowned pop surrealism artist Derek Gores has been selected as this year's ArtiGras commemorative poster artist. Gores will be creating a collage using recycled magazines, maps and all sorts of paper from South Florida locales to Artist Derek Gores create this unique work of art for ArtiGras. The poster will be unveiled on January 10 at the ArtiGras Kickoff Party. "What an honor it is to be selected to represent such a prestigious show," said Gores, who exhibited at the Manifest Hope show at the Presidential Inauguration in 2009. "I'm excited to share my latest collage and drawing work with Palm Beach County art lovers and have more than a couple surprises in mind." Considered part of the pop surrealism and new contemporary art movements, Gores' exhibits with top galleries in Los Angeles, Paris, New England and Quebec. Gores' client list includes Playboy, Prada, E! Entertainment, adidas, Rinascente, and Style Fashion Week among others. Being a poster artist is nothing new to Gores, he was the official poster artist for the Kentucky Derby in 2013, the 2014 Windsor Charity Polo Cup and the Space Coast Art Festival in 2010. Gores was also named "One of the 40 important artists of the New Contemporary Movement" in an exhibit in London. The 2019 ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival presented by Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and produced by Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce will be held February 16, 17, and 18, 2019 at Abacoa in Jupiter. The outdoor arts event showcases a juried exhibition of outstanding fine art along with activities which include live entertainment, artist demonstrations, the Hanley Foundation Youth Art Competition Gallery and ArtiKids Zone and the opportunity to meet more than 300 of the top artists from around the world.
