Tyler Reed Hubbard, an America singer-songwriter musician, was born January 31, 1987. Dirt bikes, all seasonal sports, church (including leading worship service), guitar and making hip-hop/rap beats was his jam before jammin’ as a member of the Nashville-based duo Florida Georgia Line.
Hubbard met Brian Kelley, from Ormond Beach, FL at Nashville’s Belmont University in 2007 during a campus worship group. Becoming instant friends with their music interests, they began writing songs, playing guitar together. As a decision was made in 2010 to pursue music as a career, the two branded themselves Florida-Georgia Line recording and distributing their 1st EP, “Anything Like Me”. Nickelback producer, Joey Moi discovered them at a county fair and they began writing and polishing songs for 2 years releasing their 2nd EP”Cruise” their 1st satellite hit “Itz Just what We Do” in 2012. The interest of major labels was peaking with their debut single “Cruise”, 1st hit satellite radio “The Highway” .and selling well on iTunes eventually lead to a deal with Republic Nashville and the Big Machine Label Group. “Here’s to Good Times”, their 1st studio album was released December 2012 with Republic Nashville, becoming 6th best-selling album 2013.” Cruise”, also on the album, became #1 on Country Airplay December 15, 2012 and is the best-selling country digital song of all time. This album also rolled out singles “Get Your Shine On”, “Round Here”, “Stay”, and “This is How we Roll”.
Hubbard took a break after sustaining a dirt bike related back injury February 2014. The Florida-Georgia Line duo introduced a 2nd album “Anything Goes” by October 2014.
In 2015, Hubbard and Kelley started their own artist development and music publishing company called Tree Vibez Music and released 3 more albums; “Dig your Roots 2016, “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country” 2019, and “Life Rolls On” 2021. As of 2021 both Hubbard and Kelley have pursued solo careers.
Hubbard has 21 No.1 singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, Tyler Hubbard has already had a remarkable career as a songwriter and as one half of multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Hubbard’s debut solo album, aptly titled Tyler Hubbard, was released in January 2023 and has amassed more than 1 billion streams to date.
